Help is always available. We know that your schedule is tight. The library staff are here to help you with your research. University level research includes problem-solving for even the brightest student. Relax, because you have expert help available, both online and in person, regardless of the hour. Students can work with our friendly and knowledgeable reference librarians by phone, email, text message, social media (twitter & facebook) or online chat. We offer drop-in research assistance at the Information Center Desk during service hours. We are also available for individual or group consultations at your convenience.
We have millions of e-resources available 24/7.
If we don't have it, we can get it.
With a click of the "Get it @ ETSU" button, you can request nearly anything, even if we don't have access to it. And it's all free.
Food and drink allowed.
At Sherrod Library, you will experience a relaxed library environment. We want students to enjoy food and beverages while they contemplate and collaborate. We only ask that you are neat, and use our recycling stations and trash cans. Einstein Bros Bagels serves up bagels, muffins, chai, coffee, and other products on Sherrod's first floor.
Extrovert or Introvert? We have spaces for both.
The library offers study rooms so you can study individually or collaborate with a group. Additionally, we have hundreds of study carrels, comfortable chairs, and large tables. Whatever your study style, we have it covered.
Night owl or early bird?
We provide a safe nest. Students flock to our Late Night Study space, which is open 24/7. For your safety, it is staffed by a security guard at night, and is accessible only by ETSU ID card.
Need to print, copy or scan?
The university gives each student $25 in free printing, which is automatically loaded on your ETSU ID card at the beginning of each semester. Printing services are available in the library. You can print in black and white (10 cents per side) and color (25 cents per side). Black and white copying is 10 cents a copy. Print/copy machines are located on the first and second floors of the library. As for scanning - it's completely free.
